The Barn. The Shop/Barn. Retreat/Museum and Inspiration Point. Our barn has evolved greatly - from garaging cool old cars and generational memorabilia (and yes, junk) to becoming the hub of creativity at our homestead. The Barn stands at the edge of fruit orchards which in turn overlook not too distant Pismo Beach Sand Dunes and the ocean beyond. It is in the barn's attic where friends and family have drawn much inspiration, solace and comfort, to cut, clip, dye, stitch and sew the many pieces we curate and vend at Antiques From Memory Lane.

We retired from the hustle and bustle of city life to the beautiful Central California Coast. While enjoying the happy activities of country life, our interests in sewing and antiquing blossomed and our business, Antiques From Memory Lane was born. My husband, Don, focuses on furniture, and in particular, Mission/Arts & Crafts era, and I specialize in antique textiles, buttons and jewelry. It is from these categories that my signature bags, pillows and other home accessories are created.

Key to my creations is the space where I spread out, arrange a myriad of old lace and linen remnants, and consider new directions to take them to. Friends like dear Bonney have joined in to invent there as well. Her antique paper garlands have caught on and captured a lot of admirers. I'm happy to have and share the barn since it is through the conviviality of friendship, kindred spirit of creativity, and a personalized workplace that I'm most inspired to make art.

Both Nancy's and Bonney's beautiful pieces are sold at the website and store year round, and twice a year at the fabulous Remnants Of The Past show, next up: June 2 & 3, on the grounds of Madonna Inn, San Luis Obispo.
